Prestige speler Adam Zaian (18) maakt stap van Alphense Boys U18 naar Roda JC U21

De 18-jarige defensieve middenvelder annex centrale verdediger, heeft deze stap afgedwongen nadat hij gescout werd in onze Elite wedstrijden tegen diverse BVO’s. Dat leverde hem verschillende stages op die hij succesvol volbracht. Uiteindelijk is de keuze gevallen op de jeugdopleiding van Roda JC.

Zaian die ook Egyptische roots heeft, speelde afgelopen seizoen bij Alphense Boys U18. Daar werd zijn talent opgemerkt door onze scouting. Adam sloot aan bij onze Elite trainingen en wedstrijden. “Adam is een mooi voorbeeld van hoe ons Elite Teams platform werkt voor talentvolle amateurspelers. In een korte tijd bij Prestige maakte Adam al hele grote stappen, zowel technisch maar met name tactisch. Zo hebben we zijn handelingssnelheid aan de bal aangepakt, zijn we gaan trainen op wendbaarheid en met name op de keuzes aan de bal.” Zegt spelersbegeleider Niels van Osta.

“Dat ik afgelopen vrijdag meteen in me eerste week bij Roda JC mijn officieuze debuut al voor Roda JC 1 mocht maken is een mooie beloning voor al het intensieve en harde werken de afgelopen zes maanden. Het smaakt zeker naar meer.
Toen ik halverwege afgelopen seizoen in contact kwam met Prestige Sports wist ik dat het niet makkelijk zou worden om deze stap te zetten. Het enige wat ik moest doen was keihard werken en mijn kansen pakken in de wedstrijden met de Elite teams. Ik ben dan ook super blij dat het is gelukt is om de stap terug te maken naar een BVO. Zonder de onvoorwaardelijke steun van mijn ouders en hulp van mijn management was dit me niet gelukt, dus ik ben dankbaar.” Aldus de kersverse aanwinst van Roda JC.

Vorige week werd Adam gepresenteerd in het Parkstad Limburg Stadion, waarna hij diezelfde week meteen startte met de voorbereiding op het nieuwe seizoen.

Prestige player Adam Zaian (18) makes a step from Alphense Boys U18 to Roda JC U21.

The 18-year-old defensive midfielder annex central defender has forced this step after being scouted in our Elite matches against various BVOs. This resulted in several trails that he successfully completed. Ultimately, the choice fell on the youth academy of Roda JC.

Zaian, who also has Egyptian roots, played with Alphense Boys U18 last season. There his talent was noticed by our scouting. Adam joined our Elite training and competitions. “Adam is a great example of how our Elite Teams platform works for talented amateur players. In a short time at Prestige, Adam made great strides, both technically and especially tactically. For example, we have tackled his speed of action on the ball, we have started training on maneuverability and especially on the choices on the ball.” Says player supervisor Niels van Osta.

“The fact that I was allowed to make my unofficial debut for Roda JC 1 in my first week at Roda JC last Friday is a great reward for all the intensive and hard work over the past six months. It certainly tastes like more.
When I came into contact with Prestige Sports halfway through last season, I knew it wouldn’t be easy to take this step. All I had to do was work hard and take my chances in the matches with the Elite teams. I am therefore very happy that we have succeeded in making the step back to a BVO. I would not have been able to do this without the unconditional support of my parents and help from my management, so I am grateful.” Thus the brand new acquisition of Roda JC.

Last week Adam was presented in the Parkstad Limburg Stadium, after which he immediately started preparing for the new season that same week.
